Payment / Deposit

For bookings made 6 weeks or more in advance, the booking for a holiday will be effective when a deposit of at least 25% of the holiday price has been received by Glenview Luss.) Please note that we do not take provisional bookings or allow “holds”on properties. For bookings made for a holiday less than 6 weeks away, full payment must be made at the time of booking.

On-Site Contact Information

We will greet you on arrival and show you to your room/cottage - and then give you peace to relax. If you need us, we’re just around the corner at our sister bistro, The Village Rest, during opening hours or you can catch us on 01389 528878 24 hours a day.

Nearest Shop

The shops in the village are just minutes away from your front door. The petrol station opposite us has most essentials.

Check In / Out Times

You can check in from 4pm; check out is 10am.

Smoking

Glenview Luss is completely non-smoking.

Pets

We were the first holiday accommodation in the village to accept dogs and remain happy to welcome well-behaved pooches (chargeable locally). Dogs are also welcome at The Village Rest, where water and treats are provided free of charge.

The closest train station is in Balloch, around 15 minutes away by car/taxi.

Directions from the North

  • Exit Junction 40 of M6
  • Follow A66 towards Keswick
  • After 20 minutes take left turn onto B5322 ‘St. John’s in the Vale’ signposted for Thirlmere
  • Turn left onto A591 signposted for Grasmere and Ambleside
  • Continue past roundabout for Grasmere
  • The road twists and turns past two lakes
  • You enter Rydal. Take first left up the steep road. 4 min if no traffic
  • Take first right into Rydal Hall and follow gravel track around a hairpin turn down and to the right
  • Follow track over bridge. Go through the gate. Please close the gate
  • Go left before the grass triangle and go up the steep track directly ahead of you. (There should be a white gallery yurt to your right
  • Park on the left in the Full Circle spaces


Directions from the South
